Star2.com - Upin & Ipin is a 2007 Malaysian television set series of animated shorts produced by Les' Copaque Creation, which features the life span and adventures of the eponymous twin brothers in a fictional Malaysian kampung. Formerly a side job for the blockbuster animated film Geng: The Adventure Takes place, Upin & Ipin was launched on Television9 on 13 September 2007 as a six-episode Ramadan/Eid special, to teach children the importance of the Islamic holy month. As of 2014, the series has already reached its eighth season, including another Ramadan speci season in 2008, and, season three onwards, the year-long, more standard themed Upinipin and Friends, the series' international debut via the Disney Channel Asia, with an increase of concentrating on informing the lives with the Twins using their friends on the standard days.
