Actually a side project for the blockbuster cartoon film Geng: THE EXPERIENCE Gets started, Upin & Ipin was created on Television9 on 13 September 2007 as a six-episode Ramadan/Eid special, to instruct children the importance of the Islamic holy month. By 2014, the series has already reached its eighth season, including another Ramadan speci season in 2008, and, season three onwards, the year-long, more basic themed Upinipin and Friends, the series' international debut via the Disney Route Asia, with more concentrating on sharing with the lives of this Twins using their friends on the normal days.
